Walking Wednesday! GW PAINT DRAMA, RUMOURS AND MORE!

Summary

Games Workshop Paint-Age-Rating Controversy

Valrak discussed claims circulating online that Games Workshop’s new paints are labelled 16+ because they contain added chemicals or may be toxic. He stressed that he is not a toxicologist and could not verify the claims. His advice was to follow the age label, keep paints away from young children, and avoid licking paintbrushes.

He also doubted rumours that Contrast paints are being discontinued, suggesting their apparent absence could simply be because Games Workshop is prioritising the new range.

Walking Challenge

The stream opened with Valrak walking on a treadmill in crusader-style armour while carrying a sword. He joked with viewers about the difficulty, his back pain, and feeling unwell. He also linked membership milestones to possible future costume purchases.

He completed the walk, though he was visibly exhausted afterwards.

Warhammer News and Rumours

Valrak complained that the current 40K edition had lacked the product announcements and excitement he expected. He questioned the focus on reprints over new material, particularly asking when fans would hear more about The Scouring.

He also discussed uncertain release chatter around Kill Team, Tomb Kings, Christmas army boxes, Grey Knights, Eldar and Drukhari, as well as possible delays to new Chaos releases. He repeatedly cautioned that rumours vary in reliability and should not be treated as confirmed news.

Games and Black Library

Valrak briefly discussed Darktide’s story, Space Marine 2, the upcoming Dawn of War 4 playtest, and Boltgun 2. He felt Boltgun 2 sounded like a fun continuation rather than a major reinvention.

He also speculated about why some Black Library authors had not released much new work recently.

Events and Projects

Valrak promoted an upcoming Valfest gathering and mentioned plans to scout venues in Poland, while floating the idea of a larger Texas event. He also previewed an upcoming Q&A video about his Mart project, including its expected release, price, and possible future expansions.

A Christmas model reveal and a Manchester karaoke birthday outing were also discussed.
