Valérian de Thézan de Gaussan

Valérian de Thézan de Gaussan

I started coding at the age of 12, fascinated by the idea of making machines "talk" with each other. Now an engineer, I have worked in various organizations, working the data, the infrastructure, the front-end, everything.

My job is straightforward: I transform scattered data and outdated systems into simple, automated processes. Clear governance, data integration, and automation mean operations that practically run themselves.

Beyond my engineering work, I love teaching. I regularly teach Python and JavaScript, sharing my passion and experience with others.

Last but not least, I have built these:
- A Developers' Toolbox
- A YouTube Video Summarizer
- A LinkedIn Feed Locker
- and more to come :)

My journey has been diverse, leading me to develop a unique skill set that now benefits my work as a software developer.

I started my career in the French Air and Space Force as an Aircraft Mechanic, where I focused on maintaining on-board survival equipment. This taught me the importance of precision and reliability.

From there, I moved into a role as General Resources Deputy Director at Cerema, managing the maintenance of Certu buildings. This role enhanced my skills in resource management and logistical coordination.

In Grenoble, I worked as a Fire Safety Controller, ensuring public establishments complied with fire safety regulations. Later, as a City Planner in Saint-Vallier, I was responsible for accessibility, fire safety, and building permit approvals.

After years of learning by myself, and with the precious mentoring of my brother Valérian, I transitioned into software development, working as a Freelance Software Developer for International Public Safety. My missions included data engineering, feature development, and user-focused business analysis. I utilized technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Python, Apache Airflow, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Docker, REST, and Jenkins.

These diverse experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective and a robust set of skills, enabling me to approach software development with a holistic and user-centric mindset.
