Backlash Over Pokimane’s Response to the Atrioc Deepfake Controversy

Atrioc was previously criticized after briefly showing a browser preview connected to AI-generated sexual images of women streamers. Pokimane later said she felt uncomfortable seeing him at events and displayed material related to the deepfake site during a stream.

The commentary argues that Pokimane’s display was more explicit and lasted longer than Atrioc’s brief tab preview, and that it included images involving other streamers. It also points to a dispute over how she described the display: Pokimane said she had censored the screenshot and later made the VOD private because she understood the potential harm.
