Reaction Summary
The reactors admit they aren’t deeply invested in Street Fighter, but they’re hoping for some “dumb fun” as they start the trailer. It introduces a gathering of the world’s best fighters, with Ken Masters offering someone a shot at redemption and a tournament that may not be what it seems.
The trailer’s loud, colorful style gets plenty of reactions. One host says the parties and story setup look different from what they expected, while the other compares the many music cues to a James Gunn trailer. They joke about the song choices—wondering if one moment is “Tupac” and another is “50”—and laugh at the fighters’ exaggerated looks and action. A possible fireball from Ryu prompts a surprised “Who are you?” and “Perfect.”
By the end, they’re not sure longtime fans will love it, but they think the movie could be a silly, chaotic good time. Their verdict: “dumb fun,” with the emphasis on “dumb.”
