When Maya confronts her with a photo of Myra laughing and standing close to another woman—a picture sent by Ekansh—Myra insists that Maya ask him about it rather than accuse her. She suspects Maya is looking for an excuse to leave and offers to give her freedom by preparing the divorce papers.

Myra’s bitter words reveal how much she feels she has been denied: affection, attention, and trust. Maya says little, but her unease suggests that the offer of freedom does not bring her relief.

Later, when their baby wakes, Myra gently comforts her. She admits that she worries the child will grow attached to her, only to suffer the same hurt Myra has endured. Maya abruptly takes the baby back, insisting she has an equal right as the child’s mother. Myra explains that she is trying to learn how to manage alone once Maya leaves, but Maya pushes back, saying she is not a toy to be kept or discarded. That night, the separation weighs on both women. Myra lies awake at home, missing Maya and the baby, while Maya struggles to sleep at Diya’s house. She realizes she misses Myra’s familiar presence and the way Myra would instinctively get up to care for the baby. The episode closes with Maya regretting that she did not call, while the narrator hints that Vishakha may have another move planned.
