Mike Howell, a laid-back store clerk in Lyman, West Virginia, lives under a constraint he can’t explain: panic attacks whenever he tries to leave town. The truth is far darker—Mike is actually a “sleeper” CIA assassin, his training and memories buried under a re-identity program.

While Mike remains unaware, CIA Senior Agent Lassiter attempts to reactivate him to protect herself and CIA interests. Meanwhile, rival agent Yates prepares to eliminate Mike and collapse Lassiter’s operation.
