Снова Поломки Новой Volvo VNL 860?! Мексиканская Свадьба!

Truck Maintenance & Troubleshooting (Volvo VNL 860)

• Planned an oil change after reaching about 40,000 miles.
• A new problem appeared: a seat air/deflation button (a new Volvo part) caused the passenger seat to:
  • Deflate
  • Leak air
• No spare part was available, so they:
  • Temporarily moved the seat/assembly from the passenger side to the driver side
  • Installed a replacement where possible
• Trailer/wheels issue mentioned:
  • Rear wheels needed replacement (noted by Andryukha)
  • They then proceeded with the wheel changes

Travel & Work Updates (Texas Route + Warehouse Timing)

• Heading toward Texas, with expectations of future load/unload work (possibly carrying “karatysh”/cargo).
• En route, they mentioned Chicago weather:
  • Cloudy and drizzling
  • A seasonal contrast: in the north (e.g., New Hampshire, Massachusetts) versus the south, where things quickly turn green and summery.

Warehouse Experience & Productivity Tip

• In Lubbock, Texas, the speaker returned to a facility shown earlier.
• They experienced delays related to unloading appointment timing.
• Initially, the dispatcher/warehouse setup suggested they might not load until later.
• In the end, the load was smaller than expected:
  • Only 6 pallets (rather than a larger shipment)
• Key people-management approach:
  • Be positive, friendly, and respectful with warehouse staff
  • Treat staff as if they have authority so they’re more motivated to help
  • If someone becomes confrontational, the situation tends to worsen
• Result: loading happened quickly (in minutes), avoiding an overnight wait

Health & Lifestyle

• After about 4 months of continuous work, they finally get their first weekend off.
  • Plan: sleep at home, relax, and “rest.”
• Fitness routine note:
  • Gym training leaves you tired but charged
  • The next day you feel stronger

Weekend Highlight: Mexican Wedding Celebration (Texas)

• The speaker feels lucky to attend a friend’s daughter’s wedding.
• Venue & setup:
  • A beautiful venue with a great hall and a decorated photo wall
  • A DJ, with things set to start in about 2 hours
• Cultural details:
  • It’s their first wedding with someone from the Mexican side
  • Expect Mexican music and dancing and Mexican food (the smells spread through the hall)
• They also recorded a short video to help the family remember the day.

Community / Social Plug (English Club + Telegram)

• Runs an English-speaking meetup in Chicago:
  • Held every Saturday for part of the day
  • Casual conversation—no strict structure
  • No fear of making mistakes
  • People help with translations/words if needed
  • Emphasizes that it’s okay to miss meetings—no judgment
