Eight-year-old Michaela had never met her father, a police officer who was killed by a drunk driver before she was born. Still, she admired police officers and the work they did.

While having dinner with her mother at an Italian restaurant, Michaela noticed an officer eating nearby. She quietly asked her mother for help, and the officer soon learned that an anonymous diner had paid his bill.
